You should kill it easily, both in a straight line and round the 'twisties'

My best mate's got a 240+ BHP TT and it's no slouch and it handles well too.

The 1.8T is 225BHP as standard.

I'll have a look and see what the V6 is.

I get you, the old TT specs. used to be 1.8 T either 180 BHP or 225 BHP.

The new TT specs. are 1.8 T with either 190 BHP and 240 BHP and the V6 has 247 BHP.

For the V6 0-60 is 6.5 seconds.

For the 1.8T 240 BHP 0-60 is 5.9 seconds.

The V6 time seems a bit slow to me so maybe that's not right.

ok i'm well confused now as my mate was gonna buy one and we went to Audi to look at them (a year or so ago)

1.8 was 180ps
3.2 was 225ps or maybe 250ps

the 1.8 was like this one http://www.allapprovedcars.com/Used-...arDetails.aspx

3.2 .... http://www.buyacar.co.uk/technicalSp...onyq6008.jhtml

have they up'd the power on newer ones?

We test drove and 180 and it felt really slow and sluggish, the 225 is a lot better.

i raced the old 3.2 and like i said mine is standard and it was pretty even. not sure how much quicker a new one would be but with your mods i think you'll do ok.

He'll probs beat you off the line though

for a Focus i'd say about 6.3 to 60 is a nice average, not sure about the newer audi's but the older old's are sh1t IMO.

it will be but the 1.8t sport @240bhp must run more boost than the olders ones anyways ??

I thought with my mods i should just be able to dip under 6 to 60 ??

They are surprisingly heavy for a small car, even the new QS "lightweight" is 1300kg.
However, the 225 BHP version is limited to 155 mph IIRC. So top end it'd have you. Even gayer car than the Boxster...

Figures mean NOTHING, the FRS (especiall a modded one with 260bhp like Kev has) would crucify a TT in the handling stakes - we're not talking Santa Pod here - the real world has corners .

From a rolling start too I wouldn't expect to have any probs

Did you not hear Tiff's comment on 5th Gear?? "After 7 laps I'm bored and want to take it back to the pits!"
