Anyone know any of the following off the top of their head (for a fully dressed engine including alternator and turbo and manifolds etc)

Weight?

Height?
Width?
Length?

I think you will find there will not be much in it weight wise.

I was looking at these engines a while back. Can be picked up and shiped from the states for not a lot of gold. And if you pick the right donor they come with a Tremec 6 speed hanging off the back.

Read about a chap who put one in an E30 M3. Chucked the cats away and ran it with an emerald ECU and it was making a very undestressed 380 bhp.

You know you want to throw the YB away and put one in the 3dr!

Garage19, brand new LS1 with T56 tremec box can be had including delivery to the UK and all taxes for around 4 grand.

350bhp, so stage 3 cossie power, 30mpg, and the sky is the limit for the amount of nitrous you can chuck down the fooker.

However, i'm not going to be putting one in the cossie just yet, but maybe at a later date!

If i did it though i would to buy an old snotter and rebuild it myself to a different spec ready to accept some boost!

Chip,

The names Doug.

I know, bit of a bargain these LS1 lumps.

Canee justify the cost of all alloy at the mo but i have got a bit of a V8 horn on after seeing how cheap the bits are from the states!

Was thinking about building a twin turbo small block chevy as my next project.

Haven't got a clue what i would put it in. Just thought i'd build the engine and figure that out latter.
