Default just put me coil overs on :D

well, project Tri-door, the Fast Ford project car has just been treated to the set of AVOs i got, they are the race spec mono tube ones and retail for £800+ VAT

i got pissed off with it getting blown all over the place on the motorway etc as im using it as me daily drive at the mo

well, this is how me motor looked this morning

im sure small animals live in there, thats a 5 inch arch to tyre gap

here are the bling fronts after i ripped the old shit off, i did put the 2wd hub on too, and re-assembled it all - then found the brake caliper mounts were different so had to put old hub on for now

the bad boy in place

only remebered to take pic of the rears when i was about to lower it

new arch to tyre gap = 0!!!

and how the mo fukka looks now!
i dont gave to get in it anymore, i just kinda fall in

it handles pretty fookin good now, considering its still on the shittest tyres in the world, but its a REALLY harsh ride and me love handles are all over the place

need a lid on to stop you getting knocked out over the bumps, even the smoothest roads have 6 foot drops in em

and now its 5 inches lower it scrpaes when i park the coon outside me house on the kerb

You can put the old step ladder you were using to get into the thing on E-bay now to offset the costs?

Coilovers and steelies with hubcaps. Very retro bling.... sort of

Helper spring on proper suspension, but on AVOs you just watch how you lower it back down again

Avo offers helper springs too. Why not on avos? It's not a matter of whatching it but there are also jumps on the road and so on

What do you try to say? Are they shit, or did you do something wrong or what?

I have to do at some point something more pro then watching backs when I lower it down as I may jump one day or just have one of the wheels airborne on hard corner :-/

I am not completly sure if the problem is big enought to have them one or two inches longer. I will know when the car is setup properly, for now the rear was far too low.

Any ideas for temporary solution? I seriously tought about cable-tyieng the platform to the spring.

Other than longer springs or helper springs I'd wait and see how bad it gets first

the thing is with cable ties is that the upper spring seat will still need locating in the top of the strut, unless you do summut to attach it to it, but then it will need locating in the bottom spring seat.

fook it, it will do as is for now lol

Fudgeass good point....mine has helper springs aswell but are very thin on the back and i guess the cable ties are for not allowing the spring to drop thus crushing the helper spring.

helper springs may err help lol but even if it does come out the seat, its gotta rise about 10mm before the top cup can come completly outand they aint gas shocks on the back so wont extend like that even if the car wasmid flight for about 5 seconds lol
