That site aint very accurate, this is my old car which was stolen in 1998 and yet it can still be taxed and mot`d lol

The enquiry is complete

The vehicle details for G735 WPU are:

Date of Liability 01 02 1999
Date of First Registration 01 08 1989
Date of Last V5 Issue 17 08 1998
Year of Manufacture 1989
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1597CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour WHITE
Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle
6 Months Rate Ł93.50
12 Months Rate Ł170.00

I may attempt to tax and send for a new v5 and report my findings to the Sun newspaper or something. Its only Ł93

According to that site my car is a different colour and engine size.

Plus it had its last v5 issued in 2002 yet I bought it a couple of months back, sent the paperwork off myself and recieved a new V5. So now i have to seriously doubt its accuracy!

I mean accurate in the sense i could probably get a tax disc for that car, surely it should have marker status as stolen?

the check i did at the top was for an XR4x4!

so if the date of liability is when the tax/sorn etc runs out, how would you know if the car has been scrapped and so no longer around? would the dvla not carry the details anymore, i.e nothing would come up if you searched for it

just wandering thats all, it would be nice to know if some of the old cars i've had are still doing the rounds you know

i scrapped a car and sent back the logbook declaring that i had done, if i put in the details it comes back with date of liability 01 01 1999 and i scrapped it in 1998.

I checked the reg of a car I saw in a scrapyard many years back, and the DVLA have no record of it on that web thing. I have the registration plate on my wall cuz it says "C888 WHO"

Checked all the cars I've owned... none of them are stolen thankfully! Some of them say "Not available" for the vehicle status - others say "Unlicenced" and my bronze one that I got sorned recently says "SORN Not Due"
