Escort or Astra Van??
I've been thinking that i need to get myself a small van to enable me to expand a little and do mobile car alarms/signwriting etc etc..... I dont need anything as big as a transit etc and have only about £3000 to spend so a Ford Connect is out of the question. I was going to settle with an Escort Van (about a P plate) but having looked at the Astra vans they look a lot more spacious inside, look newer, not as 'typical essex van driver style' as an escort, not as many about and also having got the Astra GSi im pleased with the way it drives etc etc...
Has anyone had an Astra or escort van before?? Remember im not interested in dropping turbo lumps/boying it up etc etc, this is purely for practicality, reliability, company reputation (as it will be fully signwritten) etc....
Cheers
Chris

i had an escort van, and had no problems with it. guess they are equal in truth. if i was in the market for a small van it would be a choice between the best deal.

Personally, I would go for an Astra Van with the 1.7td in it.
But like Mr Manchester said a Peugeot, Citroen, Renault [whatever the derivatives are called] all have excellent diesel lumps, the 1.9 TD's are great but the 2.0 HDi's are frickin awesome plus the late ones are a great spec and drive more like cars than vans
