suddenly my indicators have stopped working and i noticed the temp getting high so the fans are not kicking in, ive checked all the fuses seem okay wot about the relays? this morning it all worked fine now its stopped working again, any ideas?

 

I've had the intermitent indicator problem before, but your fan is not working either, that sounds like too much of a co incidence

Check the fuses again and make sure they are the correct rated fuses. Also re indicators, I'd suspect relay too, mine went on my old car, the relay box is on the back of the indicator stalk, you'll need to remove the steering colomn cowling to get at this.

found the problem seems to be the yellow relay in the fusebox has burnt a tiny bit, but now wot do i do is it a case of cleaning it up or a case of a new fuse box? just cleaned it up and it works fine?

 

You could just get a new relay ?

 

cheers for your replys adam thats wot i thought but surely (i hope not) their would be damage inside the fusebox, the relay isnt that badly burnt out just one of the connectors cleaned it and it works fine but dont wnat to take a risk with the fan can anyone else help? must be some sparkies on here with the day off

change the relay or STFU

 

on the thermostate houseing disconect blue plug briage a bit of wire in plug if it works you need new switch if not its faulty wirering or fan hope this helps you

Check the bunch of earths on the pass side inner wing, just above the horn. Ive had problems with them corroding just before they are crimped and causing bad earths.

Side repeater is earthed there and im fairly sure the fan is too.
