Strange question some off you are probably woundering but...

I have just brought a new car as some of you know before this i had 2 rst's and currently have a Golf GTI until Tuesday turned 26 yesterday and still get called a bloody boy racer

So hence my questions when does a boy become a man,

i aint seen many boys drive Evo bloody 8's
Or is the comment more tied to age then car? or attitude?

Lost count of how many times I've been reffered to as a boy racer at work. I'm 29 FFS

It used to annoy me but now I just leave them and their ignorance to it. As far as half of them are concerned if you drive anything other than an eco friendly electric car you are some sort of hoodlum.

I do my bit on our environmental travel day. I go to my mums and pick up my Escort especially and then take great pleasure in telling the lady on the door that I travelled to work in a gas guzzler a grand total of 400yds

 

Its all down to attitude. Take this situation. You get your gfriend up the duff,

A boy would run off and not face his responsabilitys

A man would stick by his lady through thick and thin even if its not what he wanted

it's the whole "drive it like you stole it" attitude
if you do your a boy racer
if you don't then you are just another person sitting in the traffic waiting to get home

we all do it, thats why we drive about in fast cars, but tooling up and down the high street and getting some track action in are 2 totaly different things

let them call you what they want, stick and stones chip the paint etc

 

i'm 19 and find alot of people who call me a boy racer are plain jealous that i can spank their poncy beemer or what not...
