Default Daddy Thrash if its Wet

The Forcast for Brunters dont look good, showers at best & maybe High winds.
Who else wont run, Im certainly not running mine in the wet again, done that & its too dangerous. Accleration times are also pointless in wet conditions, i will access the situation on Thursday morning before deciding to withdraw or not.

I was wondering that too!

By doing it on the cheap in Autumn you lose out because some cars won't run due to the weather and times/performance will be greatly affected. Might as well not bother doing it at all.

Maybe they think the air will be too warm in the summer, doubt it though.

Rod,
Brunters is a fickle place and if it is predicted to be showers, it IS still worth going, as the place can dry out in 20 minutes if the wind is brisk enough .

Can understand that it is pointless going if it is predicted to rain all day, but showers should be nothing to worry about.....

Look what happened to Andy F on some standing water - not worth risking a run if you don't feel 100% confident in the conditions.....

It is meant to be really windy on Thursday. 40 MPH+

Where is Bruntingthorpe? As it's meant to be sunny and dry in Essex on Thursday.

Not sure if I'll be running Rod...still a few glitches and time's running out. Not to mention the weather obviously...not that 160+ is as scary as 200!

Would be...I've no time for a live map and there's just a few problems which it would be a tad risky to run on....and I don't want it going up in smoke!

We'll see

Weather can change all the time as we all know, also weather forecasters get it wrong. Was up there Monday, supposed to rain, was cloudy then came out blue sky and sunny. Brunters is a strange place like that.

Also it's the same price all year round so that has nothing to do with it. We are looking at changing the time of year it's run, although the summer is obviously hotter and has loads of events already to try and squeeze in around.

PS. It can rain in July as well don't forget LOL So moving it to then wouldn't guarantee it either...

Basically he hit Standing Water at the end of a 1/4 Mile run and had a slight 'Off' at 140odd mph.

Andy was on drag radial's though not road tyres, that is the key point you need to be making and why the pod doesn't run wet i guess.

This is one thing thats puzzles me in weather forcasts, is light rain heavier than a shower?
