Rods Car....Words can't describe it!!!!
Hi All ....
What a Saturday I had..went to see Mark (M.A.Developments) to collect my car after a new headgasket was fitted and the boost wound up That in itself was fun and great to have the car back running spot on , Cheers Mark, faultless service as always
Then things start to become quite unreal..... I have met Rod last year, this is the Rod with the speed record just in case anybody didn't know, he happened to be there again getting ready for another record attempt next week sometime I think...anyway just catching up and passing the time of day....Putting aside the car and any records that Rod hold's I have never met someone who is so enthusiastic and prepared to share every little detail on how things have been achieved / developed , a massive credit to yourself Rod
So onto the main event, jump in and i'll take you for a spin..now this is when my control of the English language is going to let me down, I do not know enough words to describe how 800 BHP+ feels like, not only that but how drivable it is, absolutely amazing on that front alone... .. the boost dial was moved to Hi and with a subtle little flick of the NOS switch (just a squirt as Rod put it ) and we are off and about to go into orbit in a nano second This is the part where you have to have been in it to understand what it feels like. It a funny sort of way it is almost uneventful from the point of view it just goes!!!! It drives like a standard engine but just NEVER stops pulling AMAZING My friend in the back who came along for the ride really looked worried, thank god for leather seats
This car is the most well thought out modified car I have ever seen and been lucky enough to go in....under the bonnet there is no fuss what so ever, it almost looks like there is not enough in there to make these huge forces and I do mean absolutely massive forces Its only when u notice the dustbin lid sized GT40 that you think mmmmmm this might be quick ~(slight understatement using the word quick)... I am trying to liken the experinece to something real, if you ever go to FLorida and ride the Rock and Role Roller coaster you will start to understand what I am talking about Although I suppose the roller coaster runs out of speed at about 80mph this baby keeps pulling to 210mph!!!
As a package Rod has nothing to prove to anybody, he has acheived an absoultey stunning package, of course I say Rod but really mean him and his tuner M.A.Developments...Massive Credit to both of them, they are at, no sorry they are, THE pinnacle of what they do!!!!...
OOhh yes on the way home stopped at a friends for a ride in his new f430 Ferrari, I didn't have the heart to tell him how slow I thought it was But maybe I am being a bit unfair comparing it to what can only be described as THE FASTEST road going car u r likely to ever get to go in...(bar the Veron before anybody unfairly tries to put the best part of £1m into the post!!! )
Thanks again Rod for what can only be described as an experience that will be talked about and passed down to my kids when they are old enough to understand space travel
Cheers mate, i'm speachless
Cheers Malc

What a nice complimentary post.
Im sure Rod will be very flattered when he reads it, although probably not too surprised.
The guy's a first class grade A loon, and a really friendly (and utter chatterbox) as well, without doubt one of the most interesting people i know to talk to about their car

Hi Malc
Glad you were impressed , you really were given 800bhp a couple of times (660bhp +150nos) only very few have experienced that.
Think the car is in the best form of its life, Sheady having found a tad more than before & i admit even I am chuffed with the way its going.
It was a good day for me as well, went out with MADAde , believe me thats also a quick car as well & could well be the suprise of the Daddy Thrash, i hope so .

I bet its making more horsepower than the jetting implies too, ive utterly failed so far to ever nitrous a car and not end up with more at the wheels what im supposed to be gaining at the fly, so his "150bhp jets" are probably giving nearer to 200bhp IME
They are VERY VERY conservatively rated!

No Dyno Sheet for this Spec.
Last Dyno session made 614bhp @ 2.2 bar on Pump Fuel using a GT35.
Car now runs a GT40 @ 2.5bar so 660 is probably a tad conservative for its latest Spec. Probably over 700bhp on Race Fuel. Car is 10mph faster than in GT35 Spec suggesting a 80/100bhp gain. Not interested in figures though its how it goes that count.
There is a 150 shot of Nitrous to help it on its way & the experts tell me that this could be as high as 200bhp .
So no idea what Power we have but to pass 210 in a full weight Taxi in less than 1.5miles suggests a lot.
Rod
ps. The knockers dont believe it, but the bullshit stops at Brunters & thats what worries them. .
