that aint no BMX rider. Thats a MTB "Freerider". They were filming for a video and it went wrong. but the bloke was ok. someone else tried it and cleared it. Also, someone else has tried a similiar jump during a tour-de-france stage, and there is a wicked shot of him flying over the top of a load of road riders.
