Well thats the boat Stu`s in. "Stage 3 turbo" ok to look at,its got a bigger housing, but it ISNT Stage 3 as the advert says!!!!!!!!!!

And as for Stu getting a mint car,we on about the same 1 here chap?? Its had to have a new front end,WHICH is on the piss, Why??? Rear arches are rotton, and as for the tailgate,8 by 2 inch holes both sides!!!!That mint is it mate?God i got to sell you my run around, mate its MINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOLLOCKS to sold as seen- sold as advertised because there is no way on this earth Stu would have got it if it didn;t have the bits it was supposed to have on.

Stu spoke to me at length about this on the phone and MSN before he went to buy it.

The car was advertised as Stage 2 turbo systems ( I think) with a stage 3 turbo.

Even if you aint a trader thats wrong because it wasn't much more than standard.

Anyways Stu- if you get some result great - if you dont a lesson learned I am afraid

yep i will look into things a bit more, as I can understand 100% where Ian is coming from, but he has to also see it from my point of view.

Thanks for the support lads!

if u can see it from ians point of view why do u not leave it at that
does it work fine
does it smoke
does it go fast
if the answer is yes to any of them wats the problem
as far as viewing the car u viewed it with your own eyes and was more than happy with it so thats it ........................

if stu was not happy with the car he should not of bought it, he had a look round the car, drove it etc and was happy with it, no one forced him into buying it! not everyone is gonna take a turbo apart b4 puttin it on a car to see if it is a stg3 one!! ian bought it thinking it was one!

The car was sold as seen, just like mine was when i bought mine. Mine was supposed to have a new recon lsd box in it, i trailered the car home, went out in it when i got it back and the gearbox blew within 20 mins of me driving it!!! when i took the box out it wasnt even an lsd box never mind a new recon one!! i didnt come on here arguing with the lad i bought it off sayin i want a refund for a new box!! its just somethin u have to get over and learn from ur mistakes!

Stu was happy with the car when he bought it and happier with it now its set up, whats the problem???????????

I AM surprised myself as to what rights I actually have after looking into it.

Trying to fob me off with "Sold as seen, bugger off", makes me even more determined. And Jonty you are making it worse.

Think this is getting a bit blown up out of proportion....I have been in exactly the same situation myself, having bought a car off a description which turned out to be a different spec,My vendor didn`t know either and i only realised myself a month and a half later........When i contacted him he was gutted but said the same thing,he was unaware himself......

I decided to put this down to experience as i really should have researched it a bit more and tbh i really didnt look around the car that much(prob something we all do when we are excited about buying a car)....I was still happy with the car i might add....It was just not the car i had expected....

I can see Stu`s arguament but i can also sympathise with Ian and i think this is something that should be addressed by them without all the keyboard warriors jumping on the bandwagon in usual PF stylee...

Standing up for mates is one thing, getting into pointless slanging matches is another(that goes for everyone btw)

Just my opinion..........

Slagging off.

Whats is everyones meaning of this, i cant see much going on but just trying to sort a problem out.

Thats what i think anyway, but like i said before if any of Ian mates was in Stu's shoes they would be doing the same thing.

So why dont we all just shut up now and leave it to Stu and Ian to sort out like adults, instead of this "slagging off match" we are so called having!

Stu, so ur saying if u bought a turbo off someone you would take it all apart to see what was inside whether it had a 360 bearing etc!!?? i dont know the diff between a stg 1 or stg 3 turbo and clearly neither do you or ian!

Ur arguing is just pointless especially for the sake of a turbo! im sure alot of people off here have bought things and its not quite what they expected, its not the end of the world! Ian had the decency to keep the car for you for 5 weeks while you sorted your money out, not alot of people would have done that!!!
