Thats what i was getting at

I am using optimax only nd have done for the last year and a half, apart from when the fuel strike was on and it got bp ultima.

I dont think its a problem with my car, it seems to be cossies in general judging on the amount of posts i see about this exact same thing

Never had it happen to me (touch wood) Even when i was running 26psi on stg 3 with pp8's! Everyone said not to, but my car run the best then on pp8's but other plugs in and it was crap!

Though now im using Denso! And i must get some new ones before it comes back out as there a tad old now.

I'd count myself lucky m8 cos normally the tip that's missing could have easly landed on top of the piston and holed it,

what bhp ur car and like above what plugs are they

Get them flow checked mate most places dont charge to test um worth it better than it being a piston next time.

fingers crossed for u I had Denso in my 1st engine that let go looked same as that ended with a wrecked piston etc!

Denso are a cheaper brand of Motorcraft plug that Ford use in some models I'm led to believe!

ps I know some people DONT like them for what ever reason but I've got Champion 59's in my 348bhp Saf and Champion 57's in 400+ 3dr and niether have missed a beat in 3 yrs!

I should be aright i think, its started missing off boost but cleared on boost for some strange reason, a bit intermitent if you like. Its been on the drive since unstarted till tonight, when i fired it up it started straight away just missfiring a tad. Took the plugs out and low and behold 1 fooked plug and 3 not so good plugs . It best not have fooked the moptor or it will be getting burnt out

TBH I think i should be ok, cause it drives as normal hits boost the lot just missfires a bit. I had 2 melted pistons on the series1 that just stopped producing power and covered the road in smoke The funny thing was i went past this nissan micra at 130ish then the old biddy came past me shaking her head further down the road
