Agreed. Don't do it.

If you can't afford to buy a 355 don't pretend you can imo.

Westfield Motors in Rayleigh do the conversions as well i think. One in there even had genuine ferrari interior/wheels etc!

Mate you will run into 20k easily if you are doing it properly, maybe more.

For that sort of money is it really worth creating a replica car even if it is a Ferrari ??

IMO its not, although some do look good

And if you really want a Ferrari there are quite a few of the older models from the Modial upwrds at that money.

If you can afford to spend it, buy a real one. erraris are the ultimate for me, and I'd be over the moon to own any of them (apart from the weird 400).

Think id rather not bother, if all i could afford was a 400/400i, or a Mondial!!

You can easily tell that it wont be a ferrari, my brother bought a 360 last year and when you see it parked there everything about it speaks quality. The paintwork is top, the wheels, brakes, interior is just so much better quality than the mr2. Even the glass looks better quality!!

1996 p reg f355 36000 miles Ł34500
1991 ferrari 348 42000 miles Ł24500

Both advertised on autotrader site both rhd. If a kit is gonna cost you Ł20000, I would sell the MR2 and buy the 348.

Somebody posted the price above, not me. I just said if its Ł20000 then why spend that recreating a fake, when the original can be had for a few Ł0000 more.

As for being reliable? My brother has only had to replace 1 headlight that was smashed/cracked by a lorry throughing up a large stone. He services his regular (std recomended intervals) and it has been fine.

Could the same be said for a cossie?
