Thats a bit of a silly question LOL!!!

It can't do any harm can it!!

I would cover the Cam area with a plastic sheet of some kind, perhaps a Bin bag??

Is it easy to remove a Cossie cam cover? Mine is minging and I've been thinking of doing something about it.

Do I need a torque wrench or anything bizarre?

Try half a bucket of red building sand Luke .. .that should do nicely

Seriously .. always cover any areas like that .. especially when it's going to be left for some time .

removing it is piss easy, getting it back on without any leaks is slightly harder but still quite simple. Get yourself a cometic gasket, it's about the same price as the ford one but much better.

you don't really need a torque wrench but if you have one then use it, although not sure what the settings are? not very much at all really , just nipped up

Id say its more a case of the tightening sequence, than doing the bolts up mega tight...?

they strip the threads out of the head if you too them too tight, i literally just nip them up in sequence then give about a quarter of a turn on each

sequence if tightening up would be from middle to outer edges.
