Blimey, where to start? Starting at the front seam between wings and front panel rots, lower front panel join with bumper mounting, scuttle panel either side of windscreen, base of windscreen, Inner and outer a-panels, inner wings round vent holes, bottom of inner wing where it meets floorpan, Floorpan, inner sills, outer sills, seat crossmember if really rotten, floorpan around subframe mounts, if later rubber mounted subframe check all mounts for splitting, inner sills inside rear 1/4's, subframe mounting panel, vertical webs of rear subframe, boot floor around subframe mounts, bottom of battery box, etc

Check oil and water and look for signs of mayo in rocker box indicating HGF, check all gearchanges up and down for worn synchro, check brakes pull up evenly, check handbrakle works and isnt seized on the rear radius arms, radius arm bearings, check tyres for uneven wear...

Rust, rust, rust. Wings, floor, quarters, battery tray, sills, doors, scuttle, subframes all tend to rust along with the rest of the car. That is the first point of call. If thats fine guarenteed the engine/gearbox's fooked or suspensions gone, electrics, etc Thing is tho, it costs peanuts to fix as apposed to any Ford
