Default My poor car - pics

Driving down the Handforth bypass the other night 'giving it beans' when one of the cars infront decided to flick up a piece of chip board. It hit the car square on the nose, smashing the headlight, indicator, damaged the bumper, no plate and bonnet. I'm gutted

Spent yesterday and today working on it, so hopefully will be back to looking good soon. Worst thing is - i have to drive to work with bonnet in primer tomorrow.... The Fibreglass brigade will be so jealous

Pics took on phone, so a little turd...

Well done for sorting it straight away! I'm the same. If something goes wrong (gearbox mount snapped on mine and put turbo through my custom ally radiator!) I get some sleep, then attack instantly. Sent it to Pro Alloy the next day, ordered Vibra Technics mounts the same day and had it all back on the road in about 5 days It has to be done, otherwise you'll end up moping around!

Sean - Fine. The last mounts were meant to be rated to 300bhp, but they were terrible. Was planning on keeping them till summer was over, as I hadn't had the car on the road for a year during the Zetec Turbo conversion, fitting it in around uni with the car over an hour's drive from me. The mounts had other ideas! I have the Competition mounts as opposed to the Heavy Duty mounts as I've seen those fail with higher torque levels.

Cheers for the support people

Just flatted it down again, and applied another layer of filler over the dent. As soon as it's dry, i'll smooth it down and hopefully will be ready for its final coat of primer

oh, and the bonnet vent.

Saying that,Paul, do Rick a sticker of a bonnet vent so he can put that on.
