Any property you can get these days for cheap enough is worth buying.

When you get around to buying it,a surveyor will point out all the bad things in and around the building.

Rudes

you got mortgage sorted already then and if so have you had a survey done ??

That should give you some peace of mind the size of the plot is good and even if you started agaiin it would be V Good

Where in Notts is it dont say Hyson Green or St Anns cos 180k will buy both of those areas in total

Christ it's a brick collectors dream! one of every colour there.

As said above...surely it'd be easier to totally redo the ''bad'' bits....rather than trying to salvage them as it looks has been tried already on a varying scale?
If you're going to live there for a long time, probably best to fork out now and not have to worry again

Cant give any ideas as to the cost mate without being there but your main problem there is that the bricks are 'londons'. They are a frogged brick that cannot be used below DPC by law. That gives you an idea on how bad they are. The brick actually rots and breaks down in time when constantly damp...and when the frost sets in. Youll notice many of the faces of the bricks have blown off.

A quick fix would be to replace the worst bricks, inject a dpc, point the brickwork and apply a silicone sealant...or instead of pointing render the lot, but the bricks are still behind the render

From those pictures id walk away as your not a builder and it could end up being costly! Id even probs walk away myself...but as i say without being there its hard to tell!

HTH trudey ya bitch

other way is to knock all that bad bit down and use a nice hard brick....costly again!

It hasnt helped matters letting that fall pipe piss all over the brickwork either

Most of the damp problems at the back are caused by water washing off/ through the "Patio" and the badly fitted downpipe thats leaking all over the steps support wall.

You'll never get render to stay on the damp walls below the damp course.

The white staining on the pillar supporting the steel beams is lime wash from when the pillar was built and then left uncovered for a long while (years)

Patio wants sealing properly, but if you are going to knock them down most of the problems will go.

Dont know of any prices, I've never paid for any building work.

Looks good for the money,If its not Sneinton...

Looks like Bakersfield or Carlton.

shit hot lee your expert opinion counts and is greatly recieved o yoda like one aye thanks alot lee this,ll be the reason its being dropped in price what price would you touch it 150? at a rough guess price to rectify 30k? fancey a foreigner?

really cant put a price on it mate.... as for its value! I have just bought a much better 4 bed detatched house for a lot less than that sat on a good sized corner plot... soon to be 5 bed, 3 bath

But it depends on the area of the country doesnt it...

would i pay that for it? No way..... But again photos arent good enough for a price!

second pic down shows a really old way of a DPC. The red bricks are the commons, the blues are a very hard engineering brick(prob satffordshire blues) used as a dpc. they aint worked thats why ones been injected(hence those little brown caps), then the best do look like a london brick.

Sorry, I dont do building work, just a very experienced DIY ( 35 years worth).

Get a full structural survey done, that'll show up any expensive defects.
