Whats thought on Escos reps?,based on a RS2000
Hi, proberly a silly question, but would u sell your 200bhp s2 for a rs2000 escort cossie rep.
Ive been thinking of this all week, as theres one for sale where i live, its white, based on a escos lux model, with a rs2000 engine tuned up, rolling roaded at 170bhp, its mint and its all geniune cossie bits on it.
he wants 4k ovno, i love the looks of a escos, but working at a supermarket im never gonna afford one!, my s2 is running mint at the moment and only covered 10k on the rebuild so ive been thinking to get rid while its ok!

I like them, and would build one, if only I could transfer my insurance onto an RS2k. Only thing is when I get my year's no claims next april I've had quotes for then (albeit expensive ones) for a Saff Cossie so it may well be that I'll be getting something along those lines rather than building a relatively mild powered Escos rep!
But there's just no better looking non supercar for me so I would take it over the S2 if buying a cossie of any kind is not possible.

that red one in your picture looks mint, it was on ebay werent it!
i know my turbo will piss on a rs2000 easily, but im at a stage with my turbo where it needs more money spending on it to get into the 250bhp region, and i cant just spend anymore on it.
Not sure how much to sell mine for though, specs in sig, f-plate, g/c needs a bit spending on it, like the roof has started bubbling up, and perhaps a new cam coz the kent one is getting noisey! and a roll cage to finish off the stripped out interior look but thats it, engines done 10k,gearbox 2k

I wanted to build a rep when i passed my test at 17 , (had a 1.3 j plate in black) Then i wanted more power , so at 18 i bought a 1.8 xr3i 130 , still intending to build a rep , but the more i thought about it , the more i wanted the real thing , so i kept the 3i & worked night & day for 2 years & at 20 i bought an imperial blue big turbo escos so my advice is keep your turbo , work hard , save harder & get what you really want , i just bought another escos for half the price of my first one so it is possible
