URGENT Clifford alarm help needed please!!!
ello all
finally today AVA were going to try starting my car after the fuel regulator arrived which was the final piece of the puzzle! They connected up the battery and the alarm has gone apeshit. It wont respond to the keyfob or anythin
If they shut the bonnet and close the doors it will go off but as soon as you open a door it will sound again.
wtf can i do?! anyone know anything about cliffords? The alarm fob was tested and theres a voltage going across it so seems ok.
Oh i think its a clifford 300 btw.
I'm desperate for them to have this car running by the time i get onshore so heeeeeeeeellllllllllllllp
oh just had a thought...could i enter a valet code through the 2 buttons on the dash??? hmmmmmmm now theres a thought.
BTW....Big UP NIGHTDAVVA for sending me the fuel reg FOC

yeh try valet code, infact try valet by remote (2 left hand buttons)
put it in valet, then disconnect battery and reconnect ...
Should always be put in valet before disconnecting battery, have they tried sticking a charger on battery, are the indicators flashing? could just be dead?

cheers damo
ava are not very good with alarms
i know you should put it in valet mode before disconnecting but when the car was on fire that was the last thought in my head
so the alarm would sound if the battery was dead yeah? not sure if indicators are on or not? why what could that mean?

If the indicators arent flashing that would suggest the car battery is flat

Mine always seems to go slightly loopy for a few seconds after I reconnect the battery, but settles down quickly. Other thing to check is that the alarms ariel isn't obscured, or the connection have been disturbed on the alarm module.

You can get concept 300 manuals from Cliffords website, the US one IIRC
The aerial is probably tucked behind the N/S/F door rubber on the A pilar or the windscreen rubber

damo cheers for yer help
i called ava first thing and the valet code from the fob didnt work
i went to bed and got up ealy for my shift and called em again. they had to call out some alarm guy who had to replace some faulty summat or other in the end gonna cost more fuckin money but the good news is that the car started and runs
next problem they found was a melted hose taking oil pressure from the turbo so thats pissing oil. fix that tomorrow and then run her up on the rollers.
