Default Ebay.. what do you think..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

The seller has a poor feedback rating 3 pos 2 neg (60%) and Essex is just up the road.

So I ask the question..

Q:- Can I pay cash and pick them up in person as your only just up the road

A:- where exactly are you and they would still need to be paid for via paypal though excluding the P&P obviously??

Q:-Can I not pay cash on collection? No offence but your feedback isn't great and I'd rather collect and pay cash in person, if thats ok?

A:- Sorry, I will only accept payment by Paypal, if you read my feedback you will see that as a seller I am very reliable and fast at delivering the items paid for!!

So is it a scam or just an idiot?

I'd say idiot.

Considering your feedback is displayed as a percentage, why would you not re-register after recieving 2 bad feedbacks out of 5

i know some people who prefer paypal over cash, some people use their paypal account as a seperate bank account kinda (ie seperate pot of money for certain things) but not accepting cash at all? thats just dumb!

still, pay via paypal and collect in person, dont see a problem with that if you wanna be really sneaky you can turn up, then ring a mate to Xfer the money (or use a laptop) then when its confirmed you can take ya stuff... bit like an international drugs deal

I recon it's dodgy, he wants your money in his account before you find out he doesn't live there.

Try telling him you'll go round and do the transfer at his house, I bet he says no.

Out of principle I wouldn't get involved with someone with that kind of feedback. Tell him to get fucked.

Its got paypal buyer protection, so you will get your money back if its a scam...

Paypal safer than cash, as if you got them home and they didnt work, you lose your cash, with paypal you are protected...

Like the man said, probably running a seperate account hidden from wife/family etc etc

Many people do it...

You are NOT protected with Paypal. Anyone who thinks otherwise has just fallen for Paypal's advertising crap!

I guarantee if something goes wrong and the money has already been removed from his Paypal account to his bank account you have a near zero chance of getting your money back through them. If you paid using your credit card on the other hand ..... Paypal is the least secure method of sending and receving money I can possible imagine.

Completely agree, Paypal comlplaint/claim function is a COMPLETE waste of space and has taken me nearly 3months to get an email from them telling me to get a quote to back up my claim etc etc etc.
