Wanting to sell our house soon so doing all the jobs that i never got around to.
Now the bathroom, tiles are nice but the grouting has become discoloured over the years with the water from the shower.

I'm guessing just scrape out the old stuff and apply new grout and wipe off excess with a damp spunge, sounds easy but i have a feeling it may be a mission.

Is there anything else i need to know before i start???

You can buy a Grout Rake (like a serrated scraper) from places like B&Q. Its very coarse and will help remove the top layer of grout.

Regrouting is fairly straight-forward. Once you have filled the gaps with grout, you should wipe across the tiles diagonally with a damp sponge. Then if needed you can run either a Grouting tool, the end of a Pencil or your finger lightly down the Grout lines to shape it.

Having said this, I am only a DIY'er, so maybe a pro will come on here with a better suggestion!!

theres no need to use your fingers at all, you need to buy a propper sponge for the job, ( grout absorbent sponge )about Ł2/Ł3 each they are.use the said tool to remove the grout, makes a lot of mess though, good luck.
