Default ISCV is it needed???

after having problems with the idle speed control valve on my sapphire cosworth i have taken it off several times and gave it a good clean out, the revs still seem to go up and down
i have now just unpluged it and the car seems to run and tick over much better. is it ok to do this or should it be plugged in ?? cheers

How about buying or getting hold of a Hitachi Valve and get it to fit since these a lot better than the Webber ones. not sure if it would be that simple but if possible u could fix it.

if it idles etc ok unplugged, leave it unplugged.

i had no ISCV on my cossie was it was replaced with an anti-lag valve.

only on the VERY coldest of mornings (i mean minus somthing) it would stall 1st time if wasnt careful, but 2nd time itd start and idle easy.

99% of the time itd start on the button and idle fine with no valve.

yes you can get new ones at around 100 pound but they are tempremental as the one on there is only 6 months old or so. the revs only go up and down a bit but its enough to reallly bug me.
so when you put anti lag on you do away with the valve anyway then??

underneath the throttle body inlet mate (ie under the boost hose!!) theres a securing nut on it then just turn it with a screwdriver.

Ususally a reason as to why it would play up like that, depends how bothered u are bout getting it sorted!!
