Default Advice needed, re. light's in garage

i have 8 5ft tubes

but not sure what sequence i want them to come on,

i have attached a diagram but just not sure which to have,

basically i dont want all the lights coming on at once, as that just a blantent waste of electric


what's your opinions???

option 3 then you can fully light up as much as of the car/garage your working on.

option 3 is the way, only disadvantage it has is you got more travelling to do to put all the lights on

why would he have more traveling to do ? just get a 4 gang swith and stick it near the door

where are your lights switch's in your house??? on the ceiling


as per rsnission, 4 way switch either end of garage

Switch 1 = Master over all others ( so you can leave the others switched in a particular combination)

Switch 2 = Over the bench or "Dead" end of garage ( most likely to be on and its easier to walk towards a lit area.

Switch 3 = alternate left or right of each of the other three rows

Switch 4 = opposites of switch 3

Have you only got 1 door for access?

have 1&4 on one switch, and 2&3 on the other

My friend works in a body shop ,they also have the light tubes running down the walls VERY BRIGHT lights up all around the car

If your gonna do all that then make sure you put in some decent dayllight tubes as well
