Which engine mounts for 4x4 sapphire
hi all
im going to start modifying my sapphire 4x4 soon and need input on what engine mounts to use.As far as im aware, standard mounts are not up to much and there seems to be a lot of bills for replacement drivers side mount in my cars history folder so which is the best to go for??? The car will never be more than 400bhp and more than likely a stage 3,but i dont want anything that makes it vibrate right through the car as i'd imagine solid mounts would.
regards mark

i belive vibra-technics now do 2 compounds for the 4x4.
i've had the harder compound (engine & gearbox) for nearly 2 years in my 4x4 with no problems, you do get a bit of 'dash rattle' on idle, but that is far outweighed by the fact you dont have to worry about 'drive rattle'

I've got engine and gearbox vibra-technics mounts.
They are upto the job and do take a lot of abuse that i give them............But the downside is that they shake the shit out of your car when it's idling. The dash perminantly shakes I've just got used to it now But it depends if you like a smooth ride or not as Matt has mentioned above
