Abrasive waterjet will easily be the best way to accurately cut glass in to curved / intricate shapes (providing it hasn't been toughened; if it has it will shatter).

Unfortunately not - sorry We used to have a Abrasive jet but it was hardly getting used to we sold it about 4 months ago, too much money to have sitting idle (about 100k for a medium to largish one) There should be a machine shop somewhere within a reasonable distance to you who will do it though

How quick do you need it done? In about 6 months time we might very well have another, but if you need it done quicker it would be best to have a look around.

Sorry bal - they're in a series called American Chopper.....bit like American Hot Rod....

Seriously, what exactly are you trying to do? I'm guessing a one off, which may rule out purchasing equipment yourself. Was wondering if stained glass window cutting tools (don't laugh - seems to be a thriving hobby going by my google searches on your behalf - see, I am trying to help really )

Forgive me if I ain't grasping this too well

You want to cut perfect circles out of your Sapph's headlamp glass? Do you need to keep the cut out (I'm guessing yes?)

Not to sure, but guessing not needing the removed portion makes it simpler - what about getting a 'spare' lens from a scrappy and having a go with a traditional glass cutter?

If you can follow the shape (can't picture it from memory so may be too complex), then scoring the 'centre' with a cross, it may just 'tap' out - of course it may just all drop to the floor in a thousand tinkling pieces.... .
