Default holset hx series turbos

Does anyone know the amount of power these turbos support up to.
holset hx35/hx35w
holset hx40/hx45w
holset hx50/hx55w
holset hx60/hx65w.

wouldnt take much notice of holsets power ratings for their turbos, saying a fucking massive HX55 is good for about 500bhp

they are shithot turbos, jus not easy for finding out real info from

sorry man and thanks a lot. youre a star its cos im in the middle of a deal where i can get holset turbos, garrett gt turbos and mitsubishi turbos cheap from america and sell them over here.

Their rating is probably for low boost diesel truck applications....

got H90 on engine in work, rated at 840bhp at 1800 rpm

big machine has twin H110 and rated at 2500bhp at 1800rpm, but uses fuel at 55 gallon an hour

come's with a 360 bearing as well the one to use is a
hx40

Holset's are one of the most common upgrade turbos around here for cossies. HX40 being used upto ~500hp and HX50 upto ~800hp.

Excellant units, that are relatively cheep in comparison to garret, kkk, mitsubishi etc etc.

i used to work for Holset going back about 5 years now - the HX35w is the equivelant of a T35 and the HX40 been the equivelant of a T4

only real problem is heat damage when used on petrol engines as these are essentially diesel turbos and therefore the casting materials used do not have to withstand temps of upto 2000 celcius as generated by petrol engines.


Used to see units been run to destruction regular on engine dyno's and turbo testbeds - always good to see an engine run to destruction aswell
