Fun with turbos :D
As you know this is my little twin turbo saff coco
The 2nd turbo is a little shy so dont scare it off lol
Just incase some of you thought it wasnt a "twin" setup. You can actually see it in the top pic spinning away quite merily Full boost by 4k on a standard low comp cossie lump..... turbos are funny things

the first turbo is the one you see which is the smaller of the two, the second one is just visible between the inlet plenum and the link pipe, you can see the pipe curves down to the second turbo HTH

Its just a bit of fun so why not means you can run insane boost if the mood takes you eg -
going to shops - 15 psi more than adequate
rushing home left the iron on - 30psi should do the job
clearing head after fight with the other half - 45 psi recommended
start/finish straight nat day 2006..... 60 psi expected roflol!
turbo system will do it all day... intercooler and block may have slight objections lol.... trial and error etc etc lol
Steve - its just a weiner 88 lol and is proper staged fun.

how does compound turbocharging work?
does the pressurised air from turbo one enter the inlet of turbo two?
i think i can see how it works from that picture - does the exhaust gas retain enough velocity to spin up the two turbos? and what sort of performace does this produce? mega boost?? anyone know anything about this or where i could find out more info cause i've had a look on the net and cant find hee haw...
thanks in advance...

charge temp was 22 degrees flat out on the rollers, bit less on the road - no its not too standard lol
Matched against mike rainbirds T4 graph it does indeed have less lag And still not fully optimised - we expect better.
