Default Cars you regret not buying

What cars have you almost bought, then changed your mind, then regretted it forever afterwards?

3 spring to mind that I should have bought but didnt:

Mk1 Escort RS1600.
It was off the road having failed its mot. All original but a bit shagged. Still had the correct seats, badges, etc Could have bought it for £1200 (this was 1987) but I only would give him £800. How much would that be worth now? if only I'd bought it!

Fiat 131 Mirafiori Sport 2.0 TC with Abarth mods.
Bright orange 2 door sport, aqgreed a price but didnt leave a deposit. Next day someone else had taken it.

Aston Martin V8 1974 - sort of thing Roger Moore would drive.
Found it under a cover in the back of a Ford Dealers workshop. Owner had left it there after the gearbox failed. Could have had it for £3,000 but at the time though that was too much.

Got offered a Mk2 RS Mexico when i was 19, it was off this guy i worked with, his misses couldnt drive it and offered to swap with my XR2 and me to give him 300 on top. it would have been mine.

The insurance was through the roof, but i could have stretched tobuy and insure it at the time

oh i regret not buying wynn's black 2wd saph cossie, wasnt the best example BUT was rare and the best colour, was also a bargain at 3k but i thought against it as at that money would be a risk, so bouht a more pricy one in a no quite as rare WHITE but a decent spec where the engine died within the year
apart from that all my other cars have been impulse buys

Regret selling these
Long door Triumph TR2 Sports car & an orginal Mk1 1275 Cooper 'S'. Both be worth a fair bit today in the condition they were in when i owned them. Sold the TR for £120 & the 'S' for £225 & thought i had done well. .
Once passed up a Ferrari & bought a Lotus both were the same price in the showroom. The Lotus is now worth 20% of the price I paid the Ferrari about 4 times the price , If only we had hindsite when we buy cars.
