Default is this the head.....

gasket gone ,smoke on over run ,water loss(cant see where) ,and looked in the header tank to find a scum like substance on the water ,which later disapeared ??oh and have developed a miss at around 5k??,think so

Certainly some of the tell tale signs.

Can get some sniffer test done to the header tank.

not sure where though.

had 3 go in as many years and they have all been ,slightly different .first was a stuck thermastat and over hested,second was at 140mph and it shot out white smoke from every orifice ,and a slow almost unnoticable one .
here we go again i think

first one was on when the car was bought grpA,second was a multi layer jobby and the third was errr cant remember now
begining to think the problem may be deeper maybe the block is not flat as the head was skimmed each time i belive??

no shit and the car didnt move for 6 of them think if i added up the on the road time in the last 4 years i would struggle for 20 months mate .
to make it worse the whole car was rebuilt this year and finnished for nat day,the only thing that stayed intact was the engine block and head wasnt apparent there was a probblem so thought best leave ot alone would of been a fooking hour job as it was all bare
