Default Monster altenatos!?

I wanna put a bigger altenator on me car i am usin a series bracket bracket & altenator @ the mo!

what options do i got1/

granny!?

i know the mondeo doesnt fit as i tried that!

whats the bets way to check if the altenator is workin off the car!? & do they have the amperage printed on them!?

no way of checking the ampage/working unless you take it to an auto electrical place and get them to put it on a test bench.
out of interest why do you need a bigger alt?

when you bring the car down tonight i will check the ampage useage, and find out whats sucking all the power

probably all that gay bling shit in the interior

I'm sure the apmarage is market on the alternator.

They did 2 different ones for the S2 didn't they?

The later one being a higher amparage.

would of thought they would be around the 90amp figure. normally enough for most app's uless your running a large i.c.e install.

granny and cossy ones are 90amp's

think RST are 60 or 70 amps

and yes the ampage rating is marked on the alternators

Lewis - granny one is 90amp and can be bought for around Ł50ish second hand...not too sure about a new one...will find out tomo as i have to get one for a m8 of mine

My one is 180amps but is running a HUGE ICE system can always get u one of those if u wanted

when you do lewis upgrade to a heavy duty charging lead as a granny alt will burn the standard charging lead out if the alt is in good working order!!!

have one on mine which i got reconed for Ł45, i've uprated the charging lead and all earthing points on the car and now get a healthy 14.4 volts at the battery
