No idea mate!

Thing is, the reciever needa line of sight to the sky, which is why I have a magmount reciever, if its on a compact flash card in your laptop, your lucky you have a cabby bit of a pisser in the rain though!

I have a laptop and I have Autoroute 2004. Are you saying that if I buy a GPS receiver I can turn it into satnav?

How much does one of these cost and where from?

Tomtom itself doesn't run on PCs afaik. What you want is a proggy called Infomap Navigator from http://www.directions.ltd.uk/ it uses the same engine as Tomtom and is very very good. Runs on *nix too

I use it on my laptop with a Holux GM210 receiver.
