most of them are you could look at it two ways tho they were driven hard but thats what they are built for but they were also maintained too a much higher standard than normal as well

Ive bought and sold a few, usually been well maintained but high mileage....
All the plod cars were standard motors so the rumours are false..
Did get all the fleet history with a couple of em,New brakes every 3 weeks..
so yes they were looked after but driven VERY hard...

Had a few myself defo not tampered with on the brain just well maintained. And great without no sunroof, but did you know that certain forces in the country used to order them with standard 18.GL style interiors to cut costs if the constabulary in that particular area was over budget

Going back to the mid to late nineties i bought 5 saffs off the piggly wiggly's from the Manchester force 3 with cloth Recaro's and 2 with GL interiors in right down to the roof lining. And everyone had f**king problems especially with over heating, one would'nt boost properly no matter what we tried and all were under 80k mileage wise but drove more like 180k (but i did find a big f==k off maglite torch in the engine bay in one of em ) And the cavalier turbo i bought of em was even worse.

To be honest though i still see one of them now its running a healthy stage 3 with leather in it and plenty of mods so it does'nt nessasarily mean your on to a looser fella just that you might need to be a little patient while you discover more about her,but if she came at the right money it does'nt matter .Good luck.
