hex is EVIL!

and fooking pointless

i can't see ANY advantage in counting in hex over just counting in 8bit binary (and ofcourse representing that information as a number from 0-255)

Because writing f00c0ff is quicker and more meaningful than 1111000000001100000011111111.

Two useful utils are Advanced Office Password Recovery and Advanced Office Password Breaker. Do a Google on them.

I only say hex editior cause I know roughly where to go straight for the password and change it to a load of 0000000

turns out, its not the actual database that is password protected from opening, it used a authentication that used the user id of whoever was signed on the computer, as this is something we found on an old windows 95 machine, we cant plug in on our current win2K network and sign on,
i think that it needs the security bypassing to allow us back in fully again, to remove users and guests etc and leave the admin account in the database in all the other groups so it can be opened. - - i think
