Remeber more power to brag about won't necassarily make your car feel that much quicker but will almost certainly make it feel more laggy

Basically there are two turbo's which are refered too as T38's, and both seem to work very well.
One is what I have which is Universal Turbo's Version, and the other is Turbo Techniques Version, which is infact slightly larger. Both have different driving charachteristics, and it really depends what you want from your car.
Big Punch, Minimal Turbo Lag, and Reasonable Power..... Go for Universal Turbo's version.
Big Punch, slightly more lag, and the possibility of slightly more top end power, then people tend to like the Turbo Techniques Version. Both Very Very Good Though.
Remember though, it's not all about big bhp numbers, it's how the car drives. No good having 500 bhp at 7000rpm, and no power below 6000rpm. Better off with say 400bhp between 3500rpm and 7000rpm in a nice long power band.
Obviously alot depends on the rest of the engine, but your spec sounds similar to mine, so should give you a good indication of what is possible but only with all the right ancillaries.

Your t34 is the .63 mate the bigger housing thats why you got so much power even if you got a t4 least you got the als and nos to remove the lag so either way ur laugthing

Yep, it's very confusing, and really depends on what you want. Now I know who's car it was and the spec, it makes it a little easier.
The Universal Turbo's version of the T38 (Can only speak from experience of this one and not the Turbo Technics Version) will definately spool up as early as your T34, It was specifically designed to do exactly that. But, where the T34 runs out of puff at about 6200rpm (Depends on Engine Spec), the T38 keeps producing good boost 2bar + all the way to my red line of 7400rpm (Soft Cut), and would keep producing above that. (I set my soft cut to this to keep the engine reliable).
Everyone has their own favorites, but I can speak from experience of both a T4 (Too much lag for me) and the T38.
Karl Norris who built my engine, was impressed and explained it as a T34 on steroids....Lol. Comes on boost like a T34, But keeps producing the boost well past 7000rpm, which the T34 is unable to do.

T34.. massive gearbox killing punch and over 30 psi for 420 bhp then dies
T38 ... 27 psi.. 440 bhp and a torque curve as straight as my sexual history!
guess what i went for!
