Pug 306 1.4 petrol, just had head gasket done and now ticks over uneven, sputters and has no power and cuts out, but sometimes run fine!

Any thoughs as to what could be causing the problem??

Sounds like a sensor plug or air pipe maybe off or loose somewhere.

 

More info, It does it when you start it and go to pull away(hot or cold), chugs 3 times (sometimes cuts out) then runs fine.

Will check round to make sure everything is on correctly.

Anyone narrow it down at all???
