Thats basically what im trying to do, had sky years now and havent bothered but thought id have a go at doing it to save swicthing remotes. Anyway i put the code in for my make of tv and did what it said but it doesnt work! just said if it doesnt work keep pressing tv button then the off button, this will go through all the codes for your make of tv but i kept doing that and it doesnt work? any ideas?

try the 3 digit codes first, there's probably a few codes for each brand, just take ya time and folow instructions,

follow instructions....

press 'TV' button on sky remote.......

Then 'red + select' button at the same time. Then press 'tv' again.......The red light on the remote should flash twice...

Then press your 4 digit code for your make of telly (Mine is 0188)

Then press select and the red light on the remote should flash twice again.

Then press 'TV' and then 'Standby'

if it's worked the TV should turn off and it's sorted!

yeah thats what it says in the instructions smit, but it doesnt work. going to give that website a try when ive got 5minutes

Have tried many times but can't get it to work with my Daewoo TV either

Wasn't too much of a problem until the dog decided to eat the TV remote a couple of months ago

got mine going now, it seems i had the right code all along, i just didnt follow the correct button press, i.e i should have pressed select afterwards to save the code in the memory but i hadnt been doing that before working now though

Mine works ok, except pressing the blue sky button won't switch sky on from the normal telly I have to use the AVC button to do it, it used to work until the painters moved the telly while painting a while ago, I have changed the wires round at the back with no joy..
