I dont see the problem with using the sierra floorpan myself as its only preformed bits of metal for doing the job at the end of the day. lots of cars have been done this way with no problems at all and I will be doing it on my other mk3 shell at some point next year.

S1 cossie rules though as thats what mine will be the rwd car is built from a gen S1 shell too

david using the sierra floorpan to me is only like putting new floorpans in a resto...so i agree. Just had a email off brom who has other ideas, so ill have to see what he comes up with

Yes! I'd love to see a rwd or 4x4 S1 tht looked almost standard apart from some big wheels to fit over some big brakes!

As for the floor pan, why not just use the tunnel down the centre?

David im really serious now...before it was just ideas floating..now im getting quite up for it...infact ive thrown a sicky this week to get my front garden done, so then i can by a shed for the back, shift the shit out of the garage into that and make way for the project!

Daz, wheels wise i was thinking escos...quite wide and would get a decent set of brakes under??? Obviously wheels are FAR into the distance

been done, was in PF or FF couple years back I'll try and dig out pics...

In theory It should be a Q plate, but if you keep a LARGE section of the old floor, with numbers, you could stitch it in nicely so layman wouldnt pick up a problem, but if it gets dragged in by the trasffic lot, be prepared not to get it back for a while while they investigate it further, it will then be restamped everywhere and placed on a Q plate...

If I did one, I would do my uptmost to keep it on the original reg...

You need to get to some if you build the car

mine are built solely for the track as im fortunate enough not to have to do much weekend work, only thing is driving around in a deisel mondeo during the week as all the cash gets spent on my 2 track cars need to have something to tow with though I suppose
