Default i got some big problems please help

im tearing my hair out here.
i cant believe the bad luck im having building my car, its just fighting me in every way possible.
there is a problem with my engine.
here is the spec first;
2.0l bottom end which was supposed to be fully overhauled with new pistons bearings and seals etc.
ported and polished head with new valve seals, new cam seals, new valve springs, new tappets, valve seats recut, new head gasket, new cam cover gasket, new vertually everything!!
running a trust inlet manifold.
4 branch exhaust manifold.
kent cams and pulleys.
its running mk4 escort efi loom and ecu.
using zetec injectors but they are ok with the mk4 ecu as my other car runs exactly the same setup.
the problem is its mega lumpy, splutters on rev up.
the biggest problem which is megga worying is there is alot of smoke!
its smoking out of the exhaust, its also smoking out of the rocker cover breather.
ive got a cone breather on the rockercover and its smoking out of it.
ive tried everything i know but there must be something wrong.
options are;
bottom end is no good in some way??!!
something wrong with the head??!!
timing isnt right??!!
something else??!!
ideas please before i smash the thing up.
is the 1.8 timing pin the same as the 2.0l timing pin?
