from the last time i spoke to them they denied all knowledge of anythin to do with ford/gearboxed/diffs, you will get more info from dennis osbourne, or better still have a chat with tim finch, im sure that he's had quite a bit of dealing with ffd units,
have you given up with the R+D ?

just curious why you are interested in the ffd box, as when i saw your car go at totb qualifying to say the least it was not hangin about and your gear change was very fast.

thanx for all info.
i'm lookin for something abit more road bust,
as my R+D let go the other week.
up till then i could not fault it, 4k of fast road miles, 200+ launches, and a couple of trackdays.
the only thing i would change is its 1st gear ratio, as even on cheap tyres it bogs at 7 k rpm, but do it at 7.5k rpm in spins all way thro 1st, its the hardest 4wd i've driven to launch.
it does 56mph @ 7500rpm in 1st, on 17" wheels, so its losin alot of time spinnin, or boggin.
