Whilst on holiday in spain last week I stumbled upon this storage yard and found an RS turbo and a mk 5 RS2000 amongst others, they had minimal damage and as you can see the RST only needed a jet wash underneath to clean it up no rust under there!
I also noticed that the RST and all the XR3's in there had the opening rear windows with the green tint, very rare over here so next time im out there I hope to get some.
wouldn't mind taking a van out there and bringing back lots of rust free panels, both the RST bonnets were mint!

Tried to get into the yard to remove the windows but my phrase book didn't extend to " how much for the rear quarter windows off the RST mate"!!!!!
and the guy spoke no english!
I think it was only a storage yard and not a scrap yard, but my dad knows where there are some propper scrappys so when I go out in september I will go and have a look.

in much of southern europe RSs are trated as crappy cars, jus get junked for nothing!

was it pete or one of the breakers that used to bring back transporter loads of mint cossies from spain and italy to break?

It's similar in Malta, no rain falls there either most of the time, that's why so many old cars have survived out there in mint condition!

cant believe the underside of that S2!! look slike 80 spec interior with 90 spec spoiler? did it have turbo wheels etc?
