Dave i had a feeling it was that kit. I was going to get that hose kit and also fit an oil breather pot from off the frst, the swirl pot looks a good idea though

1. SamcoSport is the world leader in the manufacture of performance silicone hose.

2. We export to over 40 countries worldwide hence the huge demand for our products.

3. We are the manufacturers of the SamcoSport brand and not the stockists; we manufacture to order therefore it is our distributors who hold the stock. If your local dealer doesn’t have what you’re looking for you can visit our website whereyou will find a list of distributors, and their contact details, who will all be able to help you with your SamcoSport requirements.

4. All SamcoSport hoses are tested in our Research & Development Laboratory, a facility that some other hose manufacturers do not have. All hoses are put through extreme testing to ensure they are the best quality hoses available to you.

5. SamcoSport only sell direct to the trade and not to the public the reason for this being that our distributors will have stock of our products readily available for you to purchase off the shelf.

6. If you are experiencing delay’s but cannot get any help from the distributor where you placed your order, you can contact us and one of our sales team will look into the matter for you... as we did with Alex who had a great deal and now openly admits that SamcoSport hoses are his first choice everytime and has them on all of his cars!

7. The prices for SamcoSport products have always remained the same and we have no plans for an increase. Obviously a new silicone hose manufacturing company would price their products competitively in order to attract business.

8. SamcoSport hoses are built above OEM specifications and there is no advantage of having a silicone hose that is thicker for no reason, this would make the hose more rigid and only reduce the flexibility. For Example, if your hose connects between the engine and the intercooler, there is a lot of engine vibration due to the intercooler being fixed to the body of the car. For an unnecessarily thick hose, it would be difficult for the hose to absorb this vibration and may cause it to pull off or tear. SamcoSport hoses are made at the optimum thickness to allow for this vibration as well as the high boost pressures.

9. We are always looking for new kits to develop with the help of our distributors and you, the public. If you know of a car that you think deserves SamcoSport treatment you can send us your suggested application using the link on our website. All suggestions are recorded however, due to tooling costs there obviously has to be a certain number of requests before our development team would look into it.

10. SamcoSport produce over 450 direct replacement kits and have the largest range of universal parts available. We provide hoses to racing teams and car manufacturers such as Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, Prodrive, Skoda WRC, Lotus, Ford Racing, Cosworth Racing & More… if it’s good enough for them!

You guys have probably spent tonnes of cash on your Fords getting them to the highest standard possible with the best performance and looks... so why would you not want the best available silicone hoses for your engine!

If you are unsure of what silicone hoses to buy for your car and would like further information on SamcoSport products, or if you have any technical queries, please feel free to email us your questions, we are always happy to help.

Thank you for your time.

That really was a blatant advert, but some very fair points, especially about the thickness of hose not really helping, however id still give roose my business every time cause they are such a pleasure to deal with and i dont have to fuck around going from one distributor/dealer to the next desperately searching for someone who:

A - has a clue what they are on about
B - understand me when i want to mix and match 2wd and 4wd and rs500 bits
C - has the stock
D - will get it in the post to me the same day

I can get all those points taken care of first time every time in a phonecall to roose.

My only problem I had with Samco, was when I recieved a hose that was wrong (not sure how that happens?), I couldnt just send it to them. First back to Rally Design and then on to Samco and the same coming back.

I would like to get a set for the Coupe but dont know if I can be bothered to wait, unless someone has got them on the shelf? My Zetec-S hoses took 3 months, plus another 3 for the replacement hose! IMO thats just too long.

Chip: Hi. What I wrote obviously wasn't an advert as I did try and tailor my messgae to what has been said in this discussion but thank you for taking the time to read what I wrote, I hope it was of interest.
XS: Sorry to hear that you were experiencing problems. Rally Design are one of our biggest UK Dealers and unfortunately, due to both our returns procedures and theirs, if you do have to send a product back it must go through the correct channels due to paperwork, order numbers, delivery notes etc. I know it can take longer that way however it does mean we can keep track of all parts that are returned. Again, sorry for the inconvenience and delay. Thank you

Samco should cut the middle man out and let people DEAL DIRECT then maybe there would'nt be so many problems plus it would probley save them money to and be cheaper for joe public to by direct as we cutout the greedy little middle man. Roose obviously do a better service so who do you think people are goin to let have there money someone who takes 6-8 weeks to deliver or someone who can get you what you want in 24-48 hours and cheaper and just as good if not better

Samco cant do that, they are too big, wouldnt make sense.

If roose ever became MEGA succussfull like Samco then they would end up going down the same road no doubt.

Just to add to my initial post and to eliminate any confusion. This was for a special order in Red, not just "off the shelf" blue, If I did order again it would be in blue, far less hassle. I suppose in this case I was just unlucky.

I bought some Roose Hoses through 3dr Stretch because both Samco stockists and SFS would'nt supply or produce the pipes I wanted. I had my Roose hoses within 3 working days to my spec and colour (black without logo's).. for cheaper.. now thats what I call service! Highly recommended.

Don't get me wrong the Samco's and SFS's I've had in the past have been good products, but you can't beat the above mentioned service certainly impressed me!

Roose probably sit at home and chuckle about this thread. I mean, imagine having your own small company and the big dragon Samco itself bothers to comment in a thread on BBS.

That maybe true, but then they give you squillions of pounds - not a few hundred quid

Yeah thats true again - which is why i'd choose Roose over you guys, at least theres a greater chance of me getting them TOMORROW

XS, I recall you nightmare mate Give Paul a try at Roose, he may surprise you and use your pipes to make a mould for the coupe's pipework and you may get your cheaper because of this

Some nice comments on here guys thankyou.

I don't know about any other hose manufacturers but my policy is that we are big enough to cope, small enough to care.

I think if the cap fits i may as well wear it.
