Some are plastic and ali,some are copper depending on the age of it.

The std ford one is pretty tough. The new one i got is copper - and is SO soft - just touching it bends the finns. Think ive put a hole in it taking turbo out

I needed a new rad so the local garage got one delivered from Ford, the first 2 were damaged when we took them out of the box, the 3rd one was 'ok' so we fitted it but it started leaking within a few days. 4th one has been ok up to now, get an ally one if you can afford it, fords ones are shite !

Hate to say it, but alloy rad is the way to go, better cores, will disperse heat quicker too

i can do yea. Ive goto try and sort the turbo return pipe tomorrow first though, then if i get it running see how bad it's leaking. Will be at cheshire meet to.
