My mate just bought an Rs1800 zetec lump 1993 from a fiesta. He needs a loom for it, What looms would fit & what ECU? its got an EFI manifold if thats any help identifying it.
Also, what would need to be done to fit the engine into a focus?
Cheers

Its a zetec engine. Fiesta Si 1.6 loom will work with it, xr2i 16v and obviouslly rs1800. Maybe even escort 3i will work.
Ecu wise i think your need rs1800 or 3i 130 ps as there the only 130 ps versions of the 1.8 zetec i believe.
some of the ecus and looms will have internal pats which will require the right coded key to start it.
Think the focus has a different front engine mount other than that straight in
hope that helps

ummm. I dont think you will, cos the immobilizer is a seperate unit
to the ECU ?
the immobilizer just cuts power to the ECU till the key for the car (not immobilizer)
is near it?
Fudgeass put the 130 spec ECU and cams into his 105 spec Escort cabriolet a while back
NO troubles with immobilizer at all..
Other than that mate
The Throttle body And MAF were bigger on the 130 spec zetec engines
But! they just happen to be the same ones as the 2ltr mondeo ones
to the ECU ?
