AFAIK selling the ID isn't illegal, but "making use of it" is...
that doesn't make it any better though..

as rich says its not illegal to sell the id you may collect such items but the problems come when you stck the id on another car

If anyone from the DVLA spot that and they look at ads like that, they'll wipe it from the database rendering it useless
