Old lump out new one going in!
Im so excited my baby is finally on the road to recovery!
Engine blew about 6 weeks ago and after a 5 hour slog yesterday me and the boyf have finally removed the old one waiting for daylight and engine hoist and the new lump will be dropped in!!!!!!
Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am the girlfriend and its a s2 rs turbo! I have to help its my car!!!!!
Cant wait hoping to finish asap! but can only do it after work and at weekends! should really call in sick untill its done!
Cleaning the engine bay we done all that by torch but had to give up for the day!

just finding my feet
takes about 3 hours to get the engine in, then leave it and do the plumbing in another day that way ya dont forget things or get tired and start again and forget things 
cheack all breather pipes that lead to the metering head too, sooo many people forget and post up why aint the erst working

does any one have a clue why i would have oil in a breather pipe which comes from the intercooler! does this mean my turbo will be affected but remeber that the engine was blowing pure oil out over the top of the engine! garage said it was engine over compressing??? any ideas! i am going to take the turbo off and clean but dont want to drop the new lump in a realise the turbo is shagged aswell??????

well i drove it the other day onto ramps and did boot it abit oil was coming out still from exhaust aswell but maybe its where it has been sitting for 6 weeks the turbo works fine but im worried that its shagged aswell dump valve still winds up and seems clean just the intercooler full of oil???????
have started cleaning it all out but when she broke down there was oil everywhere!!!!!!!! and was leaking fast???????
she still picked up well considering!
