What is wrong with them ideas?

As long as they dry out in a warm dry atmosphere then there will be no problems.....

no reason it should be any problem, providing as Daz says, it is all dried out quickly in a warm atmosphere

Dishwashers work a treat - been done many times on MTB parts that one

I have yet to pluck up the courage to try car bits like (although I have used it on Radiator caps and Power Steering caps!)

other half is out for the day tomorrow gonna try me spare head in the dishwasher and see what it comes out like. Drying shouldn't be problem as most dishwashers have a drying cycle.

LOL - make sure you leave enough time for the drying cycle before she comes home!!
don't forget something like a head casting will stay hot for a long time afterwards, so don't burn your fingers getting it out in a hurry when you hear her coming in the door ..

What I like best about richm's pic is that he's actually stuck a few plates and bowls in there too, looks to me like he offered to load the dish washer for the missus and snuck the cam cover in, classic pic
