Did that FRST do any other times that low, cause it seemed like he jumped from the 13s and only did it once, so was wondering if it was a timing error, as he didnt seem to be doing anything wrong on his 13s runs so cant understand where an extra second came from?

Fair play to him though if it is a correct time, certainly looked capable of it, awesome little car

These guys managed to finish unlike some of us. Had mine managed to compete it would have been very competative in rwd looking at the results. Prob is you have to last more than 5secs to win prizes . wELL done to all those that won their class.

gutted for you rod, you would have done well on top speed and rwd class.

top speed viewing area had to be pulled late on unfortunately, insurers were getting "worried" about the spectator safety implications, which is a real shame, many people enjoyed the top speed trap viewing previously.

When I first read the results I couldn't beleive Paul Johnson did an 11.8 1/4, fuckin awesome, total respect to him! Well Impressed with that!

paul did do a 11 second quater his car is around 500 bhp and he also did not use nos there seem to be some sour grapes on this board
he deserved all the 3 trophys he won and all the gifts
might i add that he also was using optimax and kumo road tyres dot mark e marked and tread on all of the tyre
just proved a proper road car that whould pass an mot genuine road legal not road legal in america where you dont need such a test
he was only doing 13s due to the fact he had 32psi in his tyres and was only running 10 psi
dropped tyres down to 17psi and turned boost up to 20 psi =11.8 quarter
now when youi consider drag legal tyres and 30psi which is what the car can run at
this should take it into the 10s if you do the maths
if people are still disbelivers then ask the few thousand spectators for the proof
i went against paul in my car and got smoked due to the lack of traction he proves that with a lot of hard work help from his mates no sponsorship and a modest budget you can achieve the unbelevable
he now can boast owning the
FASTEST FWD CAR IN THE COUNTRY TOP SPEED AND QUARTER TIMED AND TESTED
as for me better tyres softer suspension and more practice

No offence, but Pauls terminal was the same on the 11.x as it was the high 12.
Now, his 60ft time on the 11.x was 0.0s - pretty damn fast (ie he teleported the first 60ft).
I'm sure the car can do the times, but the numbers are a little odd.
Shame it didn't make it to the final, coz everyone went faster in the finals.

'Ere, I'm not saying I don't believe - I'm just sceptical.
Another run in the same ballpark would have backed it up, thats all.
I just fail to see how you can gain a whole second with the same terminal.
That said - it's on paper, and in the results, so well done.

Congratulations Paul....as I said on the phone no matter what you achieve or how many times it's proven you will have to expect negative comments, I've been through this again and again both on the net and in the real world....got bored with the haters.

Also bare in mind there is another community of people that aren't nessesary haters but find achievements such as these unbelieveable hence why they question it....I got this all the time from people who laughed at me when they heard I done 178mph in a Fiesta back in the day. Not all of these people were idiots or haters but just found what we achieved to be 'unbelievable'. These people can not be put in the same category at the genuine haters...I simply laughed and thought to myself...."man, if only you REALLY knew!"

Bottom line is no matter what anyone says 'YOU know your cars fast...the people that know their stuff know your cars fast' You went to TOTB and won the 1/4 mile drag, top speed and got the trophies....end off!

running an 11 is not so unbelievable, my r5 turbo is about 225bhp and on my first visit to santa pod i posted a 12.68 at 110.79mph, that bloke has double my hp so i would expect him to run 11s, heck with my nos and tubular manifold coming im going for 11s.

You must have hell of a set-up in that R5 then mate! Careful when you get the NOS on, you won't be going far as it'll be blown up!

well done paul,rod and lee amazing cars constantly evolving and gettin legends in there own right, other members may doubt your times but without your prescence at ten of the best there wouldn,t have been any fords at all. adleast you entered and showed others what you and your car can do and now they question you.well done lads looking forward to next year already, hopefully more fords next time and less rice rockets
