Default erst..felpro or ford ?

i no this has been posted b4 but what do peeps think ..felpro or ford ,it seems to be a mix of for and against, alot of peeps do use the 1.9 felpro for big bhp but then thers others using standard ford gasket with big psi, iv had both on and not to sure what to put on this time round..

Agreed, My Felpro failed and was very dissappointed in it. Now have a genuine Ford one and it's so far been good as gold despite the odd bit of abuse the car gets

on my xr2tt had over 5 felpro's fail into a water ways,

all on a fresh skimmed head, non strencth bolts, and 10-15 psi boost. on 9.6:1 c/r

and since went to std ford rs h/g and done over a years work, 18 k miles and upto 17psi, and not a problem on 9.3:1 c/r.

but you cant use std rs h/g on a 1.8/1.9 cvh i dont think cos of the bore size.

That is down to errosion of the head, and is not melted where the combustion process takes place which indicates it was NOT fueling or spark related...

I have thrown 32psi at a Payen (Ford) Gasket. I wouldn't use anything else.
