Default Braided Brake Lines?

Is this something that can be bought from any average Motor Factor or is it something you can only really get from a tuner? (for my Fessy btw)

Clare,

should imagine they will do a set for the fiesta.

Rst fiesta ones should fit and will probably be the same size fittings on all the models tbh.

When you say braided brake lines do you mean the brake lines or the flexy brake hoses

Dont think any old motor factor sell them but theres plenty of places that sell the Goodridge brake hoses

Thanks Dave

Brookesy, I believe it is the actual lines I should replace with braided ones with the aim of increasing the pressure sent through to the brakes thus hopefully making them more responsive. Thats my understanding of it anyway

i would think you will only get flexi brake pipe replacements, unless you get them specially made, as generally its the flexi pipes that bulge causing less brake pressure HTH

AJ, so are you saying I will only get standard brake lines from a motor factor, not braided ones?

Jano, thanks for that, do they need a template to work on or do they make them up as standard?

Clare,

you will only need to replace the rubber ones, these balloon up with the heat and pressure.

If you are replacing them with braided ones, these are flexible lines and will fit no probs.

Just tell them the length and what connections you require at each end, they will send them out next day delivery

I think they have an online catologe so you can choose the pipe, connections etc.. and just give them the codes.

Regards

You can get your hands on the braided flexys no problem but the brake lines would have to be made to order

no some motor factors will or can at least get hold of the braided ones, but to get full lines made up ie: replace copper lines with braided then you will really need a specialist (copper lines don't generally cause the problem though)

Martyn makes a good point.

All hoses I make up are pressure tested and certified!
