Not right, is it?

Like I said before, you do have the warranty issue but you also have the "expected life span" and that's where you want to play on. Go on, you'll make it. Just kick enough fuss and don't take no for an answer. Id didn't but it took me about 4 months to get it in the end.

Expected life span of a RST gear box is more like weeks than months

you could try giveing ford custmor services a ring they sometimes will pay a percentage towards the cost of getting it fixed under goodwill but worth a phone call you never know

As for buying the part on a friday and fitting on a monday how are ford going to know. The warranty is from the date when you bought the part for 12 months warranty.

Not fair i agree but thats the way it is warrantys cost ford ££££££££££ a year they got to draw the line somewhere

How much did you pay for the box?
Obviously having read the thread I know that you thought it was brand new and not a recon item that it was.

A stage 1 bernie box is only £450.
Just want to weigh up what itcosted compared to a decent box like Bernie produces My stage 2 box I have has taken so much shit and doesn't grumble one bit
